CRIME ALERT!!

WE HAVE RECENTLY BEEN MADE AWARE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL BREAK INS AT MURRY HILL WHEREIN INDIVIDUALS ENTERED THE CONDOS THROUGH OPEN WINDOWS AND DOORS WHILE THE OCCUPANTS WERE SLEEPING IN EARLY A.M. (3-4 A.M.).  THEY REMOVED VALUABLES & PURSES & KEYS FOR CARS, THEN STOLE THE VEHICLE!!

PLEASE TAKE EXTRA PRECAUTION WHEN YOU GO TO SLEEP AT NIGHT AND MAKE SURE YOUR GROUND FLOOR WINDOWS AND DOORS ARE LOCKED OR SECURED WITH A WOOD DOWEL OR ROD SO THAT THE WINDOW DOES NOT OPEN ALL THE WAY.  LEAVE A LIGHT ON IN THE KITCHEN OR LIVING ROOM.  IF SOMEONE ENTERS YOUR APARTMENT, CALL 911 AND DON’T CONFRONT THE INDIVIDUALS.  NOTIFY THE SHERIFF (911) IF YOU SEE ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS.

CRIME PREVENTION – BE SAFE & BE AWARE OF WHAT’S GOING ON IN OUR COMMUNITY!

On April 16, 2014 committee members Jay Boden, Wally St. Cyr, Bill Taylor & Roger Dennerll held a meeting of the Streets: Safety/Security Committee at the club house. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the safety & security from May-November and the recent events that have happened in our nearby community. The topics focused on what we may do to improve safety and security within LSPG – by including Citizens on Patrol, sheriff’s office, walking patrols, and community awareness and reporting of suspicious events or occurrences. We also discussed the placing of motion sensors on all four of our entranceways to provide greater safety for those coming into our community.

We are planning to have at our November 4 meeting a crime prevention officer from the Sheriff’s department to provide updates and ideas on how we may increase community awareness.
